Growing up with grandparents is an extraordinary blessing, beautifully captured by the Chinese saying, “having an elder in the family is like having a treasure.” Poh deeply cherishes the time spent with his Ahma, a period that holds a special place in his heart. The orchard where Poh and his cousins spent countless hours is a vivid memory. Dominated by a single, sprawling apple tree, the orchard was a playground of joy and discovery. Poh fondly remembers helping Ahma pick apples, an activity that brought them closer and filled their days with happiness. The apple tree was more than a fruit-bearing plant; it was a central part of Poh’s childhood adventures. He would climb its sturdy branches, hiding among the leaves during spirited games of hide and seek with his cousins. This artwork is a heartfelt tribute to Poh’s Ahma, capturing the essence of their time together and the profound impact she had on his life. It serves as a lasting reminder of the precious gift of growing up with loving grandparents and the cherished memories created in that special orchard.

能够与祖父母一起成长是一种难得的福气。正如中国谚语所说：“家有一老，如有一宝”，傅老师一直都深深珍惜与他阿嬷度过的每一段时光。那些年里，阿嬷不仅是傅老师的长辈，更是他生活中的精神支柱和亲密的伙伴。当傅老师回忆起那些美好的往昔时，总是会想起阿嬷的果园。那片果园是傅老师最喜欢待的地方，也是他与阿嬷和表兄弟们共享欢乐的天地。在那个果园里，傅老师和阿嬷一起度过了无数个快乐的时光。他们会一起采摘成熟的苹果，每当傅老师帮助阿嬷在果园里忙碌时，都是他最幸福的时刻。果园里那棵唯一的“苹果树”，不仅为他们提供了丰收的果实，也成为了傅老师童年记忆中的一个重要象征。每当傅老师和表兄弟们玩捉迷藏时，他总是喜欢爬上那棵树的枝干，藏身于浓密的树叶之间，这里成了他童年游戏的秘密基地。这件艺术品的创作，是为了纪念傅老师的阿嬷，旨在表达他对阿嬷深深的怀念和感激之情。每当看到这件艺术品，傅老师都会被提醒自己有机会与祖父母一起成长，是多么的珍贵和幸运。这不仅是一件艺术品，更是一份对过去时光的纪念，也是对阿嬷无尽的怀念和对自己幸运成长经历的感恩之情。
